What Type Of Quality Can Be Expected With Cable

When you subscribe to Cable TV services, there are actually a variety of quality levels that you can expect when you are watching TV. The quality of picture that you see will depend on the feed of the channel, if the channel is digital and what subscriber package you have.

One of the biggest factors in determining the clarity of a TV channel is how clean or high quality their feed is. The feed is the data that is being sent to your TV service provider. If the feed is analog, you are going to see a lower quality picture. However, if the broadcast is digital or HD, you have the opportunity to see a much better image.

The next factor in picture quality is if it is a digital channel. Digital channels are much higher quality than analog, but still not as clear and crisp as HD. This is up to the service provider to keep the channel digital or send it along as analog.

Finally, if you do not subscribe to HD services, you are going to see digital or analog. For the best picture quality, make sure you have HD as a part of your service package.
