Cable television is one of the things that families have in order to enjoy their favorite shows. The state of the business is either reaching more people or failing depending on who you talk to.
In some states, it seems as though the rates of cable television continue to rise, and the quality of the channels offered is going down. Some people are getting tired of paying for a service that at one time was affordable, but now it is increasing each month. If you have a package that includes your phone and Internet, then it might be worth staying with a cable company. One of the complaints that people are giving about their cable service is that the connection goes out when there is a storm. The last thing that you want is to be watching your favorite show and the screen to go blank just because it is raining outside.
On the opposite side of the cable television argument, there are people who love the service that they receive. These are the most likely the people who only have a few channels in their home, and they are not paying a large rate to begin with. The number of channels will affect your monthly rate.
