Is Cable Losing The Battle To Satellite TV?
Satellite TV has proven to be a better channel provider for consumers than cable TV. Satellite TV gives consumers access to TV channels from around the world. Many consumers complain about the television programs and movies shown on cable TV, but this has surprisingly not resulted in a significant number of consumers choosing satellite TV over cable TV. This is mainly due to how convenient it is to acquire cable TV, and the extra incentives cable TV selection provides.
Cable providers have a foothold in many neighborhoods because they have already run the proper cabling to provide individuals with cable. Cable providers have been in neighborhoods long enough to work out all of the kinks in their networks to provide people with the best viewing experience they can get from a cable network. Cable providers also offer bundle packages to consumers. Consumers can get internet, TV, and phone service from cable providers bundled together into one service to lower the cost of these services. Many consumers acquire cable in order to take part in the bundle service benefits.
Satellite TV is an excellent service, but it has not caught on with consumers the way cable has. Once satellite services become known as stable solutions for TV, and provide the same quality bundle services as cable, they will be able to compete with Cable TV. As of yet, this has not happened, so cable providers are still winning the race to provide consumers with TV service.
